Guy L Warren is an Australian artist currently living and working on the Gold Coast, Queensland. He was born in 1971 in Lae, Territory of Papua and New Guinea and completed his Bachelor of Arts (Visual) at Canberra School of Art, Australian National University, Canberra in 1994.
He predominantly works in oil paint on canvas, and drawing using various mediums. A veteran of experimental techniques, currently his main concerns are with the creation of verisimilitude in his work, with paintings of still lifes, landscapes and portraits, often described as photorealist.
Not just a fine artist, Guy’s artistic talents have been lent to such diverse fields as graphic art, with work ranging from band logos and merchandise to designing the legendary Gold Coast amphibious tourist vehicle ‘The Aqua Croc”, community mural projects, arts based research, teaching, art tutoring, art therapy, events management, set design, product creation, fashion design, landscape and garden design including aquatic biotopes and the design and construction of unique ‘Chicken Favelas’.
